"The Three Lakes Fire Department is a voluntary based fire department dedicated to serving the residents of the R.M. of Three Lakes (400); and the villages of St. Benedict, Middle Lake, and Pilger with timely and professional service in the emergency response field."

Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department

 

The Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Departmentis non-profit charitable organization, established by the Three Lakes Fire Fighters. On February 14, 2003 we officially became a corporation in the Province of Saskatchewan. Effective September 5, 2003 we are officially designated and registered as a Charitable Organization by the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA), with full priveleges to issue tax-deductible receipts for donations to our charity.

 

The Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department is a structured board consisting of the fire fighters (as regular members) and the public (as associate members). The purpose of the organization is to promote the Three Lakes Fire Department, and create, organize, and implement fundraisers - with the funds going to the Three Lakes Fire Department to be used to help purchase equipment and other neccesities.

Who are the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department?

The Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department was started by the Three Lakes Fire Fighters. It is a non-profit, charitable organization designed to support and promote the Three Lakes Fire Department. Anyone can become a member of the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department; to become a member, talk to a Three Lakes Fire Fighter.

What does the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department do?

The objectives of the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department are: “to promote and encourage fire prevention and safety to the citizens of the R.M of Three Lakes (400), the Village of Middle Lake, the Village of St. Benedict, and the Village of Pilger;” “to promote and encourage better acquaintance, understanding, and co-operation between the citizens of the R.M of Three Lakes (400), the Village of Middle Lake, the Village of St. Benedict, and the Village of Pilger;” “to design, co-ordinate, and implement fundraising events for the purposes of supporting the Three Lakes Fire Department.

How does the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department do their fundraising?

The Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department raises money through various fundraising events, such as the Annual Three Lakes Fire Department Golf Tournament and Hole in One. They also raise funds through selling fire department clothing, dances and cabarets and other fundraising events.

What does the Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Department do with the money they raise?

The Friends of the Three Lakes Fire Departtment uses the money they fund raise to achieve their objectives. Some of the areas that the organization uses their money is purchasing equipment, such as the Honda Fire Pump, for the Three Lakes Fire Department to publishing and distributing the Three Lakes Fire Department Newsletter. The organization also publishes informational bulletins on behalf of the Three Lakes Fire Department, as well as hosts public events promoting the Three Lakes Fire Deparrtment to the municipalities it serves.
