This page is an area to watch
the progress of the construction of the new Fire Hall for the
Three Lakes Fire Department. The new Fire Hall will enclose
2000sq feet on the ground level with another 500sq feet on a
second level (above the meeting room, mechanical room and bathroom)
in the back, which will be mostly used for storage. The front
of the hall will now be large enough to house the Fire Truck,
the Water Tanker, and a third vehice; possibly a first response
vehicle, or mobile command unit (or a combination of the two).
The back of the hall will house a room for meetings and training,
a mechanical room, and a bathroom equipped with shower, where
the firefighters can wash up after fires and practises - rather
than going home in their personal vehicles full of smoke, dirt,
and soot.
This is a very progressive step,
not only for the Three Lakes Fire Department, but mostly for
the people residing and doing business within the boundries
of the Three Lakes R.M. It will ensure a viable fire department
for many years to come. Congratulations to everyone
in the Three Lakes Area.
