Annual
Report
In
2002, the Three Lakes Fire Department published their first Annual
Report. The purpose of this report is to provide year-end information
pertaining to the number of fires and damages caused thereby.
The report also contains graphs, depicting local and provincial
fire trends, fire loss by property type, as well as property at
risk versuses claims paid. Unfortunately this information is indicating
that fires are becoming more frequent and causing more damage
to property. You will also find a comparison between the Three
Lakes Fire Department and numerous other fire departments in our
immediate area. From the information collected it is distressing
to note that as other fire departments are re-organizing and restructuring
to cope with the added demands being placed on fire departments,
the Three Lakes Fire Department is being asked to provide the
same service as other departments with less.
